A fully-stocked bar in a car for flexible workers who prefer DFH (drinking from home).

To announce Uber Eats now offers Australia’s biggest range of alcohol, we needed a way of delivering the news in a way that people couldn’t miss. So we turned a 6-wheel former military truck into a mobile bar. A travelling tavern that represents a fully-stocked bottle shop on wheels, or Uber Eats’ new alcohol delivery service, available for Aussies to book and enjoy a premium cocktail experience at home.

Responding to research that revealed most people who work remotely or flexibly from home since the pandemic much prefer to knock off the week with drinks at home with their friends, family or partners instead of mingling with their colleagues. The usual Friday afternoon at the office or drinks trolley is now a thing of the past, so people are looking for more at home drinking occasions.

We teamed up with award-winning bartender and co-owner of Maybe Sammy, Stefano Catino, to be our master mixologist, concocting crafted creations for punters who booked Bar In A Car. For two weeks in Sydney and Melbourne in January 2023, Stefano would turn up in their driveways and deliver a 30 minute mixology masterclass, leaving behind cocktail kits and equipment to keep the party going.

The activation garnered 24 local publication pieces with a reach of over 11 million in the two week period. And it booked out in 20 minutes.
